Hanover CERT participates in many events and incidents in Hanover County and the surrounding localities.

2011 SEARCH FOR ROBERT WOOD JR
In October 2011 Robert Wood Jr, a young autistic boy, wandered off. CERT was on the ground the next day assisting in the search. Our role was expanded into participant registration and traffic control at the search command post. Robert was found safely!

2011 MINERAL VA (LOUISA COUNTY) EARTHQUAKE
In August 2011 a 5.3 magnitude earthquake centered in Mineral VA affected structures in surrounding counties. Hanover CERT was requested to assist the Louisa County Emergency Department with phone calls and data collection.
